Privacy Policy
This privacy policy sets out how London Short Film Festival (“LSFF”) uses and protects any information that you have provided us. We’re committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and you can be assured that your data will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. LSFF may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. Please check in on this page to ensure that you are happy with any changes and we will notify you of any major updates. This policy is effective from November 2020.
What we collect
We may collect the following information:
Name and contact information, including email address
Demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
The IP (internet protocol) address used to connect your computer to the internet
What we do with the information we gather
We use this information primarily to keep in touch and periodically send promotional emails relating to the festival or other arts and culture-related information we believe you’ll find relevant, as well as for our own internal record-keeping to understand our festival-goers’ needs and reactively improve LSFF and our users’ experiences, online and off.
Under the GDPR, we use the consent lawful basis for anyone subscribing to our newsletter or marketing communications. Any email marketing messages we send are done so through an EMS (email marketing service) provider. An EMS is a third party service provider of software that allows marketers to send out email marketing campaigns to a list of users.
Email marketing messages that we send may contain tracked clickable links or similar technologies in order to track subscriber activity within email marketing messages. Where used, such marketing messages may record a range of data such as: times, dates, IP addresses, opens, clicks, forwards, geographic and demographic data. Such data, within its limitations, will show the activity each subscriber made for that email campaign.
Again, this information is used only for our internal records and the better shaping of our practices and overall festival experience.
Please note that this website is hosted on the WordPress platform which operates via secure servers in multiple locations around the world.
