INDUSTRY: Articulating Diaspora
15:00 Tue 14 Jan 2020
Presenting diasporic experience has, unsuprisingly, not been limited to a single form or genre. Host Nadia Denton continues conversation, dissecting the articulation of diasporic identity through film - whether non-fiction, moving image or even the more palatable vehicle of comedy. For a community defined by dispersion, what opportunities are there for communal filmmaking? And where are meaningful spaces for support, discussion and exhbition?
- Hetain Patel (Artist, Don’t Look at the Finger)
- Priya Sharma (Filmmaker, researcher, Stuart Hall PhD Scholar)
- Chiemi Shimada (Artist Filmmaker, Chiyo)
- Hosted by Nadia Denton (Film curator, author)
