Raised in Belgium and now living in London, she’s a producer, DJ and the co-founder of NON Records, a collective of African artists and of the diaspora, using sound as their primary media, to articulate the visible and invisible structures that create binaries in society, and in turn distribute power.

Shannen SP is the co-curator and resident DJ at Corsica Studio’s monthly experimental club night ø, host of monthly NTS radio show I.D.S.T and on the Hyperdub books. Her sets are known for combining Afrofuturist beats with styles like gqom, kuduro and terraxo.
