With unwavering honesty, grandmothers share stories of heartache, enduring love, and loss – all of which have come to shape their lives in profound ways. In these conversations, long-repressed emotions find a voice – some, for the first time ever. We witness the bravery with which the women reveal the silent pain and sacrifice of personal freedom that often came with love.
