Rich Pickings: The Sleep Paralysis Project or How to Get your Totally Bonkers Short Film Made!

Complementing the digital strategies of Digital Bootcamp (see previous event at 2pm), this event looks at The Sleep Paralysis Project: an experimental, cross-platform project exploring the phenomenon of sleep paralysis, supported by a Wellcome Trust Arts Award.
Director Carla MacKinnon and Producer of Marketing and Distribution James Mullighan will illustrate step-by-step how the project has been planned, funded and marketed, and how pre-production audience-building efforts steered and informed the direction of the film’s content. The session will look at proposal-writing tips, online strategy, team building and how to use each element of a project to gain leverage for other elements, analysing successes, failures and learnings.
