A Young man drives his elderly mother from the Brazilian country side to Sao Paulo City, to find out what happened to his father, who disappeared 35 years ago. Powerful yet surprisingly light hearted, Vanescer is an acutely observed road-trip drama that examines the modern, inter-generational fallout of Brazil’s Military Regime.
