New Shorts #13 God’s Lonely Men, pt. 2 Against Adversity

New Shorts #13 God’s Lonely Men, pt. 2 Against Adversity

It was back in the 1970s when Travis Bickle cruised his cab around New York’s grimy streets, but here’s another chance to spend an evening with the disenfranchised male species in our popular double-bill.

2. Against Adversity

In times of trouble and strife, the men in this selection have to struggle on in life, against all that is thrown at them. Our characters here are a cross-section of society: the homeless; the ageing rock star who’s lost his mojo; a submarine crew going stir crazy; a man mourning a dead friend; or, quite simply, the last living man on earth. Includes the 2011 Cannes short film winner Deeper than Yesterday, and Roger Allam as a rock guitarist seeking inspiration in Trading Licks.

Tickets for this programme are available on the Riverside Studios website, or by calling the box office on 0208 237 1111.
